The Vancouver Friends For Life Society serves as a catalyst to enhance the wellness of individuals living with a life threatening illness by providing complementary and alternative health and support services.

Programs and services focus on wellness, a holistic approach to healing, and are intended to complement primary medical care. Offered in a safe, confidential environment these programs are designed to help our members gain control over their health and to reduce the anxiety, stress and isolation of fighting their illness. Ultimately, the goal is to give people with HIV/ AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses the tools to significantly improve their quality of life.

Today, Friends For Life provides services to over 1500 members and associate members. The demand for our services increases constantly. The services are very diverse, ranging from clinics in massage, naturopathy and Traditional Chinese Medicine, to Reiki, shiatsu, tai chi, and yoga, to music therapy, art therapy, meditation, group support work and individual counseling, to name but a few. They also have a comprehensive nutrition program and serve over 7000 home-cooked meals to our members each year. Finally, for members in the palliative stages of illness, we offer practical and emotional supports through HOME Team program.

Out in Schools is a unique high school outreach program garnering critical acclaim from educators across BC. The program harnesses the powerful medium of film and video to engage youth on issues related to homophobia, bullying and school safety. Through film presentations and facilitated discussion, Out in Schools is working toward the promotion of safe and diverse communities and schools, free from discrimination and bullying. Since its inception in 2004, Out in Schools has reached more than 14,000 students across BC.

For Internet Ticket Orders: Your ticket(s) will be available at the dock prior to boarding. Please bring your Credit Card used to purchase ticket for ID when picking up your tickets at the dock.

• NO ATM on onboard... please bring cash.
• There is a public pay parking lot at at the foot of Denman. It fills up quickly, so try to arrive early. (Vancouver cruises only)
• Dress warm as it gets cool out on the water
• Smoking is permitted on outdoor decks only

Canadian Cruises are in Canadian Dollars. US Cruises are in US Dollars.
